Burglary appeal - Trentham Park Golf club, school parking, Community Speed Watch, joint Councillor Street Surgeries & Patrols |

Good afternoon everyone, Please find at the bottom of this e-mail the locations I have patrolled from 29/09/2025 – 03/10/2025 along with next week’s Police surgeries.
Firstly, apologies if I missed anyone at last nights Police Street surgery at Gosport Gr. The surgery will be repeated TONIGHT (04/10/2025) 18:45 – 19:00.
Trentham Park Golf Club - Burglary - Appeal for information
We are investigating a burglary at the Trentham Park Golf Club, Park Drive, Trentham. The incident happened on 30th September 2025 between 21:00 – 22:00. Two offenders approached the premises from the direction of Whitmore Road and forced entry into the shop. TaylorMade, Calloway, Odyssey, Titleist and Wilson Staff-branded items of stock, believed to be worth thousands of pounds, were taken. Anyone with information, including CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time, can contact us by calling 101, or via Live Chat on our website (www.staffordshire.police.uk) quoting incident number 727 of 30 September 2025.
School patrols If you could please pass this advice onto anyone you know who drop off or collect from the schools – thank you
Firstly, I would like to send a very big thank you to those who are making a fantastic effort in parking safely and sensibly around our schools. It really is hugely appreciated! On 01/10/2025 and 02/10/2025 I completed school patrols at the end of the school day at both Ash Green Academy and the Priory CE Academy. During patrols I am frequently seeing vehicles parking on or too close to junctions, across or near to drop kerbs (where children and families cross) and where there are parking restrictions. Parking like this (even for a few seconds/minutes) causes dangerous visibility obstructions, creating an unsafe environment for children and their families attending and leaving school.
I want our roads to be the safest they possibly can be but this cannot be achieved without ‘EVERYONE WORKING TOGETHER’
*Please do not park/drop off/pick up on or close to junctions and near to crossing points. *Please do not park on the yellow zig zags or yellow lines. *Please adhere to the parking restrictions in place. *If you can, please park further away from the school.

Community Speed Watch
Training has been organised to take place at the Man In Space (New Inn Lane) on 15/10/2025, 11am – 2pm. If you would like to take part in the training, please reply to this message and I will be in touch.
On 23/09/2025 the Community Speed Watch Team were out on Burrington Dr and Barlaston Old Road. Burrington Dr – 9 vehicles were recorded as driving above the speed limit, with the highest speed recorded as 38mph Barlaston Old Road – 21 vehicles were recorded as driving above the speed limit, with the highest speed recorded as 42mph
Letters will now be delivered to the registered keeper of those vehicles.
A34 – Pavement I was made aware that due to damage/wear on a part of the pavement on the A34 an elderly person nearly fell over. I have reported this to the Council.
Police & Councillors Joint Street Surgeries
Moving forward will be incorporating the Police and Councillor joint surgeries into Street Surgeries. If you would like myself and the Councillors to carry out a street surgery in any locations in the Trentham & Hanford area, please let me know by replying to this message. A date and time can then be arranged. I will announce where the first of the joint street surgeries will be in the very near future.
